Do you know if Rafa Nadal?

Es un problema muy raro. It is a very rare problem. I did not visited, but I know his case. It is a distortion of retropié and your joints. In my opinion, this is a miracle that he can play tennis at a high level.

Why considers it a miracle?

Con esa deformación normalmente es difícil jugar. With this deformation is usually difficult to play. Normally there is no problem with that mobility in the retropié. Now there is solution with templates and the type of slippers.

http://www.elmundo.es/elmundodeporte/2008/11/26/tenis/1227710105.html

Murray promises to pile on the pounds over Christmas to add power to his game for 2009

"I'll have to focus a lot on what I'm eating and make sure I eat a lot of protein so I can put on a bit of weight," he said, adding that his ideal target is an extra four kilos. "That should give me a little bit more power in my shots. But I'm going to have to eat loads to try and put on weight if I'm training four or five hours a day, so I'll eat a lot of sushi.
"If you're talking about getting right the top," Murray said, "it was only last December when I realised that I was going to have to work really, really hard if I was going to get there. Even when I was 18 and I played at Wimbledon and played five sets for the first time, that was another mark when I realised I was going to have to get much fitter and get stronger and get used to playing at this level. But it wasn't until December that I really started doing the really, really hard work that I've needed to do for a long time."

Stefanki, 51, says that Roddick, having called him two days after pulling out
of the Masters Cup in Shanghai with an ankle injury was "so pumped up I
want to get going now. Can you be here tomorrow?"
Stefanki is
just as eager. "Andy Roddick is the best server in tennis," said
Stefanki, "and not only does he have the biggest serve in the game, he
gets 68 percent of his first serves in. He held serve 91 percent of the time
this year. That's an amazing stat. He just doesn't get broken very often.
But (he pauses here) he's No.20 on return of serve.
"A year ago, when Fernando made the Masters,
we had dinner together - me, Andy and his brother, John.
Then, this year, after he beat Fernando at the US Open
(6-2, 6-4, 6-1 in the fourth round), I told him: 'That was the best I've
ever seen you play.' I think maybe that conversation stuck in his mind.

Davydenko Uncut

‘I am a very spiritual person’
How much did the match-fixing allegations and the controversies affect you and your game this year?
Yes, it was difficult but I am happy that I overcame the difficult period. However, this has made me mentally tough and stronger.

Despite being a former World No. 3, do you feel like you do not receive your due from the media and the public?

No, media and public have always been there for me and I have always received appreciation from them on my good days and bad days. It’s the public that loves me so much and keeps me motivated throughout a match.

I love spending time with my family and besides that, in my free time, I love listening to music, going fishing, playing soccer and hockey and cycling.

Biofile

Baby Balls

Gustavo Kuerten Tribute Biofile
Most painful moment? "Forget already [laughs]. Don't remember."
I went for a sponsorship tryout (age 18).
And then the guy said, No, he's too skinny, he has no power [smiles]. I don't think it's gonna be a good idea, a good investment [smiles].
So, for me, it's funny how to look back and see, at this stage, how I was really no big hopes and yet I find my career.
Favorite tournament? "Roland Garros."
Favorite players to watch? "I like watching many of the players. There's not any one that I prefer the most but I think the characters still left are still Safin, Haas, besides Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Roddick - probably the ones, for me, that bring more attention from the crowd."
Closest friends from tennis? "Lapentti maybe."

Biofile with Picasso?! The Picasso of tennis, Philipp Petzschner that is
Nicknames: "Some call me Petszchy and the rest normally call me Picasso. (Why?) Because I'm pretty close between being a genius on the court and completely nut. That's what they say [smiles]."
Toughest Competitors:  "I would say for me it would be Fabrice Santoro. Because we have a similar kind of game. But he plays maybe a little bit smarter from time to time. I think the toughest one at the moment is Rafa for sure."
Funny Tennis Memory:
I was playing the return at the feet and he was crossing at the net. And they straight hit him to the head and he was heading the ball like to cross-court short angle. It was a winner, we broke them with this point.
Last Vacation: "Was Maldives."

Rafael Nadal: On top of the world

euronews: What have you given tennis and what has tennis given you?

Nadal: I don’t know what I have given to tennis… For me tennis is a very important part of my life. It is where I invest myself the most. It is a short sporting career, I have to make the most of it while it lasts, live it to the maximum…up to now it has gone really well for me.
