ウィンブルドン表彰式インタビューで、スー・バーカーに「テニスって残酷でもありますね」と言われたロディック曰く：「いや、僕は応援してもらえる数少ないラッキーな人間の１人だ。だから、応援してくれてありがとう」

If he does, you weren’t merely lucky; you had a hand in making your good fortune. Asked by Sue Barker if he felt the sport could be cruel, Roddick said to the crowd, who had supported him as they always do at Wimbledon, “No, I’m one of the lucky few who gets cheered for, so thank you for that.”
